props to the "akron beacon-journal"
i never thought i'd say this, but props to the "akron beacon-journal" for publishing a review of "bloodreal" in their july 18th, 2010 book section......it wasn't necessarily a positive review, but at least they had the balls to actually put it out there.....case in point: the "virginia tech alumni magazine" e-mailed in september to inform me that a blurb about "bloodreal" would be in their fall 2010 edition....well, it arrived today and there was no review.....northeastern ohio is one of the ugliest places that i've ever had the misfortune to live, but it's obvious to me now that the place had a lot more fucking soul than virginia tech ever had

"bloodreal" to be published in june 2010
reviews of crazycarl's new anthology, bloodreal:
"Crazycarl is like 7-Up: never had it and never will."
-Graffiti on a bathroom wall from 1989
"Your writing is as important to this world as that tree out there."
-Mama (pointing to a tree out there)
"In summation, this book feels like the literary equivalent of those weird 'friends' you would tolerate in hanging around in grade school despite not liking them much; you have no idea why you put up with them in the first place, but you did until you finally were able to separate from them at some point and let them blossom into the jock/bully/asshole they were destined to be."
